  11. Heres the problem: No matter what I try I can't get connected to ATT
  12. Worldnet at a 28.8 connection. All I get is a 14.4  I can connect with
  13. my local ISP, AOL, and any local BBS I want at 28.8 with no problem.
  14. ATT says its cause my modem is a RPI and uses software  compression.

  16. MY Modem: Zoom VFP 28.8  on com2 (this is a V.fc modem)
  17. 486dx 2/66 with 8mgs
  18. Using Win95 DUN
  19.   Advanced Connection Settings:  Use Error control Enabled
  20.                    Compress data enabled
  21.  
  22.                     Use Flow control enabled              
  23.                     Hardware (Rts/CTS)enabled
  24.                     Extra settings: S11=50 (to dial fast)
  25.                    Type of dial up server: Windows95,  PPP etc...
  26.                    Software compression enabled
  27. Changing any of these doesn't make any difference
